The bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge is a painful but important part of Cambodian history to confront. If you would rather not visit the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, just let your leader know.
One night is spent in more basic guesthouse accommodation in the Mekong Delta. Rooms have their own ensuite, although may only have cold water available. Mosquito nets and bedding are provided. However, most travellers find that this experience is the best way to connect with locals, and a real highlight.
A boat trip from Nha Trang is included, riding in a smaller basket boat, with the opportunity for snorkelling. Let you leader know if you have any concerns about water-based activities.
