State of Origin
This is League’s greatest rivalry and is only played between New South Wales and Queensland. Competition between the two states dates back as early as 1908, but the current best of three format was introduced in 1982.
The 2017 Origin series was once again won by Queensland, however NSW were in it till the last match, but with the Maroons winning the decider it was a great send off for Cory Parker. With everything to play for it is sure to be another thrilling chapter in Rugby League folklore.

After falling just short against Cronulla in 2016, the Melbourne Storm showed their class in a clinical victory over the courageous Cowboys to become Premiers for 2017. A deafening crowd of over 80 thousand fans meant that the atmosphere was electric, right until the final tackle of the night.
