Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Japan
Fly from Auckland to Tokyo, Japan.
Transfer to accomodation, stay 3 nights.
Day 2: Tokyo B|D
Purchase your lunch from one of the many traditional Japanese food vendors around Asakusa and the Nakamise Market.
In the afternoon stroll through the serene Hamarikyu Garden, a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city.
End the day with a group welcome dinner.
Day 3: Tokyo B
Spend the day at your leisure exploring the wonders of Tokyo, with recommended stops including the iconic Tsukiji Fish Market to savour fresh, local flavours, the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, and a stroll through the stylish streets of Ginza.
Day 4: Hakone B|D
Travel by private coach to the tranquil town of Hakone, nestled in the mountains.
Experience a scenic late morning cruise on an iconic Sea Pirate Ship on Lake Ashi, where you can take in stunning views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding lush landscapes.
Enjoy lunch at your leisure around the Hakone-machi Cruise Terminal.
In the afternoon, take the Mt. Komagatake Ropeway on a 7-minute ride from the shores of Lake Ashi to the highest peak in Hakone, Mt. Komagatake. From here, enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding area, as well as a visit to the mountain-top shrine.
Enjoy an overnight stay at a traditional ryokan, a Japanese inn known for its warm hospitality, tatami-mat rooms, and relaxing onsens (hot springs).
Day 5: Hakone to Kyoto B
Depart Hakone by coach for the stunning Kawaguchiko Lake, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking, picturesque views of Mount Fuji.
In the afternoon board the Shinkansen for a smooth and comfortable journey to Kyoto.
Day 6: Kyoto B|D
Enjoy a memorable sightseeing tour of Kyoto, starting with a visit to the renowned Arashiyama district. Stroll across the iconic Togetsu-kyo Bridge before taking a charming rickshaw ride to the enchanting Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, where towering bamboo stalks create a magical atmosphere.

In the afternoon, visit Shurijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site that served as the heart of the Ryukyu Kingdom, with its distinctive red architecture and panoramic views of Naha.

Day 15: Okinawa to Tokyo B
